Continuous Improvement Coordinator

Continuous Improvement Coordinator
£25,000 – £30,000
4 Day working week
Monday – Thursday, 06:00 – 15:45  (some flexibility given)

Our client is looking for a motivated and hands on Continuous Improvement Coordinator to join their Leicester site and play a key role in driving performance, efficiency, and engagement across the business.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who may already have experience in continuous improvement, lean, or operational excellence. This role might suit someone who has worked on the production floor and wants to take the next step into a more formal improvement role.

My client is committed to supporting and developing the right person and is happy to provide training and guidance where needed.
If you enjoy working with people, solving problems, and turning ideas into practical improvements, this role offers a genuine chance to build a long-term career in continuous improvement.

The role
As a Continuous Improvement Coordinator, you will work closely with teams across the site to identify improvement opportunities, support the delivery of change, and help embed a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Supporting and promoting continuous improvement methodologies to enhance site performance
  • Working with teams to develop and maintain standard operating procedures and work instructions
  • Leading and supporting improvement workshops with a strong focus on practical outcomes
  • Mapping processes to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement
  • Supporting initiatives focused on cost reduction, quality improvement, and productivity
  • Investigating performance gaps, issues, and complaints, and helping implement preventative actions
  • Working alongside department leaders to achieve and sustain agreed performance standards
  • Providing administrative and analytical support, including reporting and presentations
  • Communicating improvement plans, progress, and outcomes to management and stakeholders

The candidate
This role is open to candidates from a range of backgrounds. You may already be working in a continuous improvement or lean role, or you may be coming from a production or operational environment and looking to move into improvement full time.

  • Experience within a manufacturing or operational environment
  • A basic understanding of continuous improvement or lean principles, or a strong desire to learn
  • A hands on, practical mindset with a focus on solutions rather than theory
  • Confidence working with people at all levels of the business
  • Good communication skills and the ability to explain ideas clearly
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership of tasks

Full training and support will be provided for the right person.
