The Company
My client is a global insurance provider who have dominated the insurance market for decades. Due to their exponential growth, they are looking to recruit an Business Development Executive  on a full-time permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has previous experience within the insurance industry or someone who would like to establish their career in the industry.
The Role

  • Produce steady flows of commercial leads which you will follow up on
  •  Quoting, binding, renewing and taking payments for policies
  • Handling inbound /outbound calls and correspondence pertaining to new business and retentions
  • Promoting the portfolio of insurance products and services
  • Complete quotations over the phone by actively listening
  • Sell various types of insurance policies to individuals and businesses
  • Develop and maintain client relationships
  • Ensure customers feel valued, informed and confident in their insurance coverage
  • Working to financial targets
  • Ensure the customer feels valued, informed and confident in their insurance coverage

The Candidate

  • Knowledge within the commercial insurance industry would be an advantage, but an ambitious customer service/ hunter attitude is vital
  • Communicate effectively, both in written format and verbal expression
  • A strong work ethic with great determination to succeed in achieving targets
  • Experience in previous sales role (telesales or face-to-face)
  • A desire to develop new business
  • Ability to problem solve, use own initiative and judgement
  • Develop and sustain effective working relationships where applicable with customers, the team and relevant staff
  • Commercial awareness
